Brain Mapping
The treatment team at ONE80CENTER employs a variety of modern cutting edge techniques to help our clients recover from addiction and alcoholism. A key diagnostic technique employed at ONE80CENTER is Brain Mapping. Through the process of Brain Mapping, the mitigating physical and neurological factors behind a client’s addictive problems can be clearly addressed.
Brain Mapping is a technique to provide the behavioral and medical information needed to rebalance the brain for clients with addictive tendencies, mood disorders, an inability to focus, memory lapses, and depressive episodes that occur when cognitive abilities have been damaged. In addition, other base problems are highlighted through the brain mapping process like attention deficit disorder, learning disabilities, and obsessive/compulsive disorder.
At the start of Brain Mapping, a neurocognitive evaluation provides a “snapshot” of a client’s present condition and indicates areas of cognitive functioning that need to be addressed. If the problem turns out to be primarily physiological, ONE80CENTER recommends licensed specialists who can investigate possible nutritional factors and the problem of external toxicity. Brain Mapping reflects the holistic belief at ONE80CENTER that the health of the mind and spirit cannot be separated from health of the body.
In the morass of addiction and alcoholism, a client experiences a deep sense of hopelessness, feeling there is no solution to their problem. Such desperation leads directly to an increase in mood disorders, such as depression, anxiety and anger. At ONE80CENTER, the Brain Mapping services focus on helping a client restore their original settings. Whenever a client is able to eliminate negative behaviors that stand in the way of sustainable sobriety, they have removed yet another huge obstacle to their recovery.
By providing a light at the end of the tunnel, this service helps prevents relapse by addressing the underlying problems. When successful, Brain Mapping helps lead to the restoration of mental functioning, greatly benefiting the long-term process of recovery.
