Ancillary Mental Health Services
It is essential to allow the client to become stabilized in the area of mental health in order to address effectively the disease of alcoholism and addiction.
ONE80CENTER provides expert evaluation, assessment, and diagnosis to help determine if care is required and at what level. Residential treatment does not fit everyone. There are many options available including an outpatient program, day patient, group therapy, individual therapy, sober living, sober companions or 12 Step meetings. Our approach is to individualize care based on each individual’s needs.
Some clients use drugs and alcohol to self-medicate. Many people initially find relief from anxiety, depression, fear and insecurity in a substance or addictive behavior. However, over time an addiction will progress. The negative consequence of the addiction grows, and the quantity and frequency of abuse increases. Some addicts reach a point where the drugs, alcohol or behavior stop working completely- and its usually at a time when the addict’s life is in wreckage- careers are in jeopardy, relationships damaged, and an over all life crisis is in effect. This is a very painful place.
ONE80CENTER has many treatment options available for clients. By creating a treatment plan that may include some or all of the following- psychiatry, medicine, 12 step programs, psychology, diet, exercise and spiritual practice- our clients receive exceptional care and achieve results. At ONE80CENTER, we understand the process of recovery. We can help.
In the three-fold nature of the disease of alcoholism and addiction, the obsession and compulsion of the mind is a central truth. Beyond the disease, many addicts and alcoholics have co-occurring disorders in the form of mental health issues. ONE80CENTER take these problems seriously by making sure clients are stabilized, by working with an outsourced medical professional to ensure the client is on the correct prescribed medications while in treatment.
During the initial assessment, the client is evaluated to see if they have been prescribed any psychiatric medications. If a client brings prescription medication with them to ONE80CENTER, it will be disposed of to avoid any possible tampering or contamination, then immediately refilled for the client. All medications will be kept securely in a safe for the client to self administer at indicated times.
No client at ONE80CENTER will be allowed to maintain possession of any form of prescribed medication during the period of residential stay.
Many addicts and alcoholics stop taking their psychiatric medications while in the depths of using. If this problem is discovered, it will become a top priority to have the client evaluated and prescribed the necessary medication. In the initial assessment or in a later evaluation period, the treatment team may recognize that a client without a past psychiatric diagnosis is in need of a psychiatric evaluation.
Once recognized, a contracted psychiatrist will evaluate the client in order to initiate any necessary treatment. ONE80CENTER knows that such problems must be recognized and addressed in the process of treatment. It is essential to allow the client to become stabilized in the area of mental health in order to address effectively the disease of alcoholism and addiction. Without such equilibrium, any prognosis becomes more difficult.
With several of the most prominent addiction specialists, doctors and psychiatrists contracted and on call at ONE80CENTER, we know the psychiatric care of our clients will be handled at a level of excellence. As a licensed rehabilitation facility, the ultimate focus of ONE80CENTER is to bring the client to the point where the primary disease of alcoholism and addiction can be overcome and the path of long-term sobriety taken beyond the accepted burden of co-existing factors.
