Remote Detox

Detoxification at the beginning of recovery is one of the most challenging stages of early sobriety. At ONE80CENTER, we offer the option of a remote detox because we believe in providing the best for our clients in terms of comfort and safety. A client often will need or request a remote detox away from our main facilities and in a private and secure environment. Whether a client desires to detox at home, in a hotel, or needs to detox in a medical facility, ONE80CENTER can effectively address the request through our Sober Companion Program.

Before detox, the Medical Director at ONE80CENTER will provide an assessment to determine the appropriate care needed for each client. Assessment is based on the client’s history, drug of choice, length of use, age and mental status. The first step is an assessment by the Dr of your choice, or with our contracted medical physician, Dr Steven Jacobs in Beverly Hills, Ca.  The doctor will determine what medications may be necessary for an appropriate and comfortable detoxification experience. After the assessment, the client can choose to detox in the privacy of their own home or in a hotel room with the support of our sober companion services. If required, ONE80CENTER will recommend a medical facility for a client to ensure their safety.

The focus of a remote detox is to make the detoxification process as comfortable and smooth as possible for the client so the central work of rehabilitation can begin. It is often a concern during a difficult and uncomfortable detox that the client will abandon the process; thus the emphasis on a level of comfort. Once a remote detox begins, an experienced sober companion will always be present with the client. The sober companions have been trained to support and monitor clients during detoxification. They know how to safely support a client to help them successfully complete their remote detox and begin the positive journey of recovery.
