Oftentimes, when an individual enters treatment, his or her own doctors and clinicians are excluded from the treatment process. At ONE80CENTER, we encourage our client’s existing professionals to become active participants in the client’s treatment, ensuring a continuum of care that is unlike many other programs. Our approach provides care that carries our clients back into their normal lives. Along the way we utilize a simple and easy to use platform to provide each treating professional real time information. At the ONE80CENTER we make it a reality to provide an integrative approach to treatment.
Frequently Asked Questions:
ONE80 What are the benefits for the health care provider to be in touch with the rehabilitation treatment team via technology during the course of a shared patient’s treatment?
Dr. Tim Fong MD, Head of Addiction Medicine for UCLA: For a long time what would happen in a lot of cases when a person is admitted in to treatment, the primary doctor or the psychiatrist or the therapist who had been working with them would lose track of them. I think in this day in age we now have the power to use computer technology to keep the therapist updated to know what is going on. For instance, I can envision a residential program logging in notes or logging in observations about what is happening with the client every day and then the referring therapist being able to log on and say ‘hey what’s going on with my client?’ and to follow along in real time to know about the recovery process or lack thereof or the signs and symptoms that are emerging. As an example, a lot of my clients go to rehab centers, I never hear from the client or the rehab center until the patient has been discharged 30 days later. To me that is a lost opportunity to really understand, what is happening in their recovery and identify the strengths and weaknesses of their recovery.
